Drones or Unmanned Aerial Vehicles are very popular now a days among children to adults. Because Drones are using for many purposes today.

To register your drone, you must be older 13 years or more and should be U.S citizen or legal permanent resident. You  can get registered your Drone or model Aircraft from FAA.

Registration is easy, just follow the steps below.

1 : Go to  – https://www.faa.gov/uas/getting_started/register_drone/

2 :  Fill the forum

3 :  Pay the registration fee ($5)

4 : Grab the certificate and FAA registration number, that valid for three years

5 :  Mark that number on your Drone.

For educational users

If you use drones or UAV’s for educational or training purposes, there are two other options to fly it safe.

Option 1: Fly under Part 107

Part 107 is list of rules to consider when before flying drones less than 55lbs In the U.S.

Also you can follow these rules and fly your drone for any purposes such as, training, for fun or business.

But before follow these rules there are few steps to continue.

Step 1: Know the rules

Before you fly the drone, you should have good knowledge about what those are.

Step 2: Become an FAA-Certified Drone Pilot by Passing the Knowledge Test

To become a FAA-Certified Drone you have to fulfill these requirements, such as 16 + year old , fluent in English language and be in a good physical and mental condition to safely fly a drone or UAV.

This is the process to get your drone pilot certificate.

Once  you’ve passed your test you may good to go.

Step 3: Register your drone with the FAA

Renewing The Drone Registration Certificate

As I mentioned earlier these FAA drone registration certificate is only valid for about 3 years. If your registration 

Certificate is going to expire soon, you can request renewal from FAA website via online. They will charge extra fee and get it done for you.

What happens If broke the law with using unregistered Drone ? 

If something bad happen with your drone, it may result in criminal and regulatory penalties. FAA may take civil penalties u to $27k. Also criminal penalties may fines up to $250k and/or could be in jail up to three years.
